“We are here for those who are not yet here.”
That one line sums up the heartbeat of Pastor Tim Hatch’s ministry. It’s not about comfort—it’s about calling. Not about arrival—it’s about pursuit. And for Tim, that pursuit began in the most humble of places: a basement church plant hosted by his parents in Massachusetts. It was there, surrounded by folding chairs and raw faith, that he first saw what the Church could be—alive, active, and anchored in the Gospel.
Tim felt the call to ministry in his early teens after a personal encounter with God that shifted everything. He went on to study at the University of Valley Forge and earned a Master’s in Theology from Knox Theological Seminary. But degrees were never the goal. The goal was impact. And in 2004, Tim and his wife Cheryl planted Waters Church in North Attleboro—a daughter church that would grow into a multi-campus, multi-cultural community reaching thousands every week.
Waters Church isn’t just a building—it’s a movement. It’s a place where people from all walks of life come to encounter Jesus, find purpose, and step into transformation. And Tim’s leadership is the catalyst. His preaching is bold, relevant, and unapologetically biblical. He doesn’t shy away from hard truths or cultural tension. He leans in, always pointing back to the Word and the mission of Christ.
“The church dies a slow death when it thinks it has arrived,” Tim says. “We are here for those who are not yet here.”
That urgency fuels everything he does. Beyond the pulpit, Tim is on what he calls an apostolic mission—establishing churches, raising up leaders, and leveraging digital platforms to take the Gospel global. His podcast The Deep End dives into faith, politics, and culture with clarity and conviction, while his show You Matter to God reaches over 400,000 homes across Southern New England with a message of hope and identity.
He’s also an author. His book Move! challenges believers to reject spiritual stagnation and embrace the uncomfortable beauty of change. His second book, Ending Emptiness, speaks to the ache so many carry—the longing for meaning, for connection, for God. Both works reflect Tim’s core belief: that the Gospel isn’t just good news—it’s a call to action.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” — Matthew 28:19 “Fan into flame the gift of God…” — 2 Timothy 1:6
Tim’s ministry resonates because it’s real. It’s not built on polish—it’s built on purpose. And for people like me, who’ve walked through seasons of silence, doubt, and disconnection, his voice is a reminder that we’re not forgotten. That we were made to move. That revival isn’t just possible—it’s personal.
If you’ve ever felt stuck, silenced, or unsure of your place in the church, Tim Hatch’s ministry will remind you: you matter to God. You were made for more. And the Church isn’t waiting for perfection—it’s waiting for participation.
Waters Church is proof that local doesn’t mean small. And Tim Hatch is proof that one voice, surrendered to God, can shake a region awake.
