Some bands make music. Third Day made a movement.
For over three decades, this Georgia‑born, Grammy‑winning Christian rock band has blended Southern grit with unshakable faith, creating a sound that’s as comfortable in a church sanctuary as it is in a packed arena. From their self‑titled debut in 1996 to worship anthems like God of Wonders and Soul on Fire, they’ve given the Church a soundtrack for both praise and perseverance.
The name “Third Day” comes from the biblical account of Jesus’ resurrection — a declaration of hope that’s been at the heart of every lyric and every performance. Over the years, Mac Powell’s unmistakable voice, Mark Lee’s guitar work, David Carr’s steady rhythm, and Tai Anderson’s bass lines have carried songs that speak to the soul and point to the Savior. With more than 10 million albums sold, 31 No. 1 singles, 4 Grammys, and 24 Dove Awards, their impact reaches far beyond charts and trophies.
Now, for the first time in over a decade, the original four members are reuniting for a 30th Anniversary Tour in 2026 — a 30‑city celebration of the music, message, and moments that shaped a generation. From Florida to California, with stops at iconic venues like Bridgestone Arena in Nashville and the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, the tour will culminate in a hometown finale in the Atlanta area. And as if that wasn’t enough, special guest Zach Williams will join them on the road.
For me, Third Day’s music has always been more than entertainment — it’s been a reminder that faith can be loud, raw, and real. Their songs have walked with me through seasons of joy and struggle, echoing the truth of Psalm 40:3: “He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.”
This reunion isn’t just nostalgia. It’s a chance to stand in a room with thousands of voices, singing the same hope we’ve carried for 30 years — and to remember that the God who was faithful then is faithful now.
