🌟 Fan Page Feature: Ben Fuller – From Brokenness to Boldness

Some stories don’t just inspire — they interrupt. Ben Fuller’s journey is one of those. Raised on a dairy farm in Vermont, where faith was rare and affirmation even rarer, Ben grew up with a quiet ache for love and belonging. That ache became a wound, and for fourteen years he tried to numb it with alcohol, cocaine, and a lifestyle that looked fine on the outside but was crumbling underneath. Even after losing his best friend to fentanyl, he kept running — until God stepped in.

In 2018, a family invited him to church. Surrounded by two thousand people in worship, Ben felt the Spirit of God break through years of secrecy and shame. In that aisle, he prayed the most honest prayer of his life: “Fix it! You do it because I can’t!” That surrender became the dividing line between who he was and who he is now. The addictions fell away, the old life lost its grip, and a new calling took root — to sing about the Jesus who had rescued him.

“Who I Am” is more than a debut single — it’s a declaration of identity. It reminds me of 1 Peter 2:9, “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” Every time I hear it, I think about the lies I’ve believed about myself and how God’s truth has replaced them.

“If I Got Jesus” is a song that strips life down to what really matters. It echoes Philippians 3:8, “Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.” I’ve had seasons where I’ve lost things I thought I couldn’t live without — but this song reminds me that if I still have Him, I have everything.

“Walk Through Fire” feels like a battle cry for the days when faith costs you something. It brings to mind 1 Peter 1:6‑7, “In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith — more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire — may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” This song has carried me through my own refining seasons, when the heat was intense but God’s presence was even stronger.

Ben Fuller’s music is for the ones who feel like black sheep, for the ones who’ve tried everything and still feel empty, for the ones who need to know that grace doesn’t just forgive — it transforms. His testimony reminds me that the same Jesus who met him in the ashes met me in mine, and He’s still in the business of restoring, repurposing, and sending people out singing. Whether you’re walking through fire or just trying to find your way home, these songs are proof that you’re not too far gone for God to run to you.
